We Have a House

House Hunting was EXHAUSTING! Lol! We looked at 14 houses in 6 hours! We had pretty much made our mind up on a particular subdivision and as we were riding back through it, we saw a house listed for sale by owner. Gregg called the guy up and left a message and later that evening we heard back from the guy. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1900 sq.ft. house. The guy had a really good price on it so we decided to give it a look. The next day I drove over to Dothan and met Gregg's assistant and she looked at it with me. I really liked it and felt that it was perfect for us. I called Gregg, who was in Montgomery overnight for work, and told him that I really thought it was the one and that I wanted him to see it the next night. He liked it as well so we shook hands with the guy! We kinda came up with a plan. We decided to buy one of the smaller houses in this subdivision (because I really liked the place and thought it would be a good place for me to meet other stay at home moms and there is a park one block from our house) and live here a couple of years while we buy us some land and build a new house more like we want on a bunch of land so Kaidi can have the horse named Max (thanks to Rapunzel) that she talks about so much! :) I am very excited about this new adventure that our family is about to take and look forward to spending all the sweet, quality time with my babies. Yesterday we took Kaidi and Asher to a pumpkin patch a little outside of Dothan, and since we were so close, we decided to take Kaidi to see the new house she can't wait to get into. She is so funny she keeps saying someone has to get out so we can move in. Not really sure where she got that from. Anyway, We will be moving this weekend. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. This is a huge transition for us. It is exciting and we are both very happy with our decision, but we are saying goodbye to a lot of things. Our beautiful home that we built, the conveniences of being in our "small town" where everyone you see in the store and on the street you know. Close to our families where they can stop in and help out in a minutes notice. There are many things that we are going to have to adjust to. I am a little nervous! I hope Dothan's ready for us, because here we come! :) Here are a few pictures of the new house:

There's not really much that I want to do to the house. I want to paint the front door and put some pinestraw and a few small boxwoods around the white picket fence, isn't this house so cozy and sweet looking. Cannot wait to decorate it for Christmas! :) Got to get me a pretty little door hanger for the front to let our neighbors know the Ramer's have come to the neighborhood! :) Hope you all have a safe halloween night tomorrow night. We plan to take the kids to a fall festival at one of the local churches here. Kaidi is going to be Rapunzel, Asher a chicken (that Brayden and my nephew Grayson both were) and Atlas will be the same puppy dog that Brayden and Asher both wore. I remember someone making a snoody comment to me one time because Kenadi was a pink poodle two years in a row, but the way I looked at it was, "It's Halloween?!" Why would I go and spend $20 or more on a new costume when they can still wear one that I have?? Now, I like the fact that my 8 year old nephew wore this chicken costume when he was 1, Brayden wore it when he was 1 and Asher is going to wear it now and I will hold it for Atlas to wear next year!  And it still looks brand new! Can't complain there! Anyway! Have a great time with your families and don't eat too much candy! :)

God's blessings upon you all! I've been terrible at keeping up with your blog this year...but from what it sounds like, you are staying home with the babies!!! You won't ever regret that decision!!! My husband and I thank the Lord we made that decision over 6 years ago. :) As we can unfortunately relate, when you've lost a child (for you, two), that time with them is ever so more precious because we know what it's like walk through such a loss. Big hugs and God bless you all!!! I'm very happy for your family!
