Broken Heart

I sit here tonight and my heart is broken. A family in my town is experiencing the very same gut-wrenching pain and heartache that my family went through almost 3 years ago. A drowning accident Friday night has shook our town all over again and brought back so many emotions that are still so fresh on my heart. We've had many friends and family members check on us just to make sure we were ok because they knew how this hit home with us and that is all the more reason I am so thankful to live in our small town. My mind has stayed on this family constantly and I knew the pain and hell they were enduring as they prayed for a miracle in their child's life.  I hate that they are experiencing the same thing that we have experienced and dealt with daily for the past 2 years and 10 months. I hurt for them, as I know everyone does, but I have a different kind of hurt. Mine is relative. I know you hear of tragedy and you say, "I could not imagine" well in this situation, I know it all to well. It hurts me to the core. All I can do is pray that they feel the God of Comfort wrapping His arms around them and carrying them through each painful day ahead of them. We may never, this side of eternity, understand why God chose to take our babies home early, but he does all things for the good and I just have to have hope in God's Word.

This leads me to express how very important ISR lessons are. I cannot stress the way I feel about these lessons. I have passed out flyers/brochures and have had business cards and brochures sitting at my workplace for MONTHS now and people just overlook them. Now that it is summer time, the "traditional swimming lessons" are starting and people are flocking to them like nobody's business. Not that anything is wrong with that, but most of these classes are for ages 3 and up and ISR starts as young as 6 months old. ISR is teaching your child aquatic SURVIVAL skills and at the end of the day that is what is most important. ISR is the safest provider of survival swimming lessons for children 6 months to 6 years of age. Be honest, How can you TRULY compete with that?! Also, to date, ISR has 790 documented cases of children using ISR's survival swimming techniques to same themselves from drowning. If you are interested in ISR lessons for a child in your family, please visit their website at infantswim.com. Sarah Tuttle is the instructor in the Enterprise/Opp area (She teaches lessons at the Mizell Wellness Center in Opp), but their are instructors all over the nation! Please don't wait. You are not guaranteed another moment.

Please keep this family in your prayers as they do the hardest thing, as a parent, you should never have to do. I thank God for the life this child had and the lives he will reach in the coming days, months and years ahead. God Bless this precious family in a time where they feel helpless and lost.

Meredith,
I had heard about this. Somehow it seems that news of drowning always makes it's way to us, no matter the distance. My heart aches for them, knowing the horror that they are experiencing. I will lift you and your family up in prayer along with them. God is good............all the time.
