Ardmore Trip

We had a WONDERFUL time visiting with my brother and his family in North Alabama. The trip up there was a lot better than I expected. I have learned recently that, as long as the tv is on, Kaidi WILL NOT go to sleep. We let her watch a Barney DVD until we got to Prattville and then stopped to eat at Chick-fil-A and when we got back in the car I didn't turn it back on and she slept the next 3 hours. I went to Hulu.com and watched the last 20 mins of Grey's Anatomy that I had missed. We arrived at my brother's house around 10:15 and I think the girls played and stayed up until about 11 and then the adults stayed up "catching up" until around 2. Of course we were exhausted the next morning, but the conversations we had were all worth it. Kaidi woke up around 7 Saturday morning and everyone else was still snoozing so I took her outside because there was a little bit of snow leftover from Wednesday or Thursday and wanted to get her picture in it! Everyone else got up and we all got ready to go to the game Addison had to cheer for. After that, we went to Hardees and had breakfast then came home for a little bit until we had to be back at the church for her to get her trophy. After that, the guys went and played golf and we took the girls home to get a nap. While they napped, I went through the DVD collection and picked out Enchanted. It was a really cute movie! The girls got up and we gave them a bath and then dressed them alike and took them out to take their picture. We did that for quite a while and then came in and fixed them something to eat. Heather and I started getting ready to go on our date. The guys came in and we were out the door! We went and ate at Lonestar in Huntsville and then went to watch the Huntsville Havoc take on the Fayettville Fireants! We had SO much fun at the game. Gregg really enjoyed it. We got home around 10:30 and the girls were already sound asleep! One of the couples at their church watched them for us and said they were so sweet! I was so happy to hear that! :) We got up Sunday morning and I decided that I wanted us to head on home after we got packed and ready instead of going to church with them. We stopped in Alabaster on the way home and ate at Olive Garden and then drove another hour and a half and stopped in Prattville at Bass Pro. We walked around there for about an hour or more and Gregg ended up getting him some summer clothes. I think he got 2 pair of shorts and 2 pair of khaki shorts along with a sweater for next winter that was on sale. We left and got home around 5:30 Sunday afternoon. I always enjoy long trips on the road with Gregg. We seem to always have good conversations! When we got home, Gregg wanted to go ahead and give me my valentine's present. He was too excited to wait one more night and he knew I had class on Monday night. He gave me a gift card to have a manicure/pedicure and either a massage or a facial! I was super excited!! I don't get to "pamper" myself very often so anytime I get the opportunity, I am thrilled! Here are a few pictures from our weekend visit:

I follow your blog from Texas. Don't think I've ever commented before, so I thought I would now. You and your husband seem to have a great relationship. I hope to have one like that someday!
