House Update

Last week they were busy on the outside, painters came in and caulked every board and every nail hole (i would not want that job) and the roofers started on top while the painters finished up on bottom. I am SO pleased with the colors we chose for it. The off white trims looks great too. We have decided we do not want shutters anymore because of the casing around the windows. BUT we do have to decide on what color front door. Gregg wants something that will "POP". we originally were going to do black, but since we have so much roof and it's black we decided to do a brighter color. We are against red because everyone has a red door so you got any advice?? He is looking at some yellow tone colors that i despise, and i am leaning more towards a burnt orange kind of color. What do you think? I also like it the white door that it is!! :) anyway, here is what my house looked like Saturday! :) It is going to look even more different this weekend, they came yesterday and dug out the dirt in front of the front of the house that all this wonderful rain we have had the last month or so has just pushed 1 1/2' deep across the front. They are starting on the brick today and hope to finish by Thursday and they will start hanging sheetrock this week too and it should be done by next Friday! :) I am so excited. I have got to get my definite paint colors by next week!! AHHH.. what am I going to do?? :) Anyway, here are the latest pics of my house!

It is beautiful! :)
I know you are so excited!!
We have a black door with black shutters.
But, I think burnt orange would look really good. It would "POP" & be something different besides a red door that everybody seems to have these days! :)

I like the door white the way it is too, but a Forest Green would be pretty with the gray too...looks so great Meredith. I would be very excited too!

It looks great! A burnt orange would be cool, but also a different shade of Green (a darker one than the siding) would look awesome! I can't wait to see the inside. We are building as well, but are in the very beginning stages-we should be digging in the next 3 weeks.

So, NO!!!!!!!!!! to yellow. I do not think it would compliment it at all. I am a color person....but I have to say I really like the white!

I would say Burnt Orange, Grey, A REALLY deep red...so different than the traditional red....

Can't wait to see it!

Absolutely beautiful!!
I myself, would love a red door, as it is so Zen'y, but have to agree that the white looks really nice with the mat green you guys have on the house.
It's really breathtaking. LOVE IT!!

I LOVE the house...it looks great!! I have a red door, as does everyone in my neighborhood so I know what you mean on that. I would LOVE a black door with that color green...I love green, black, and white together. But a white door would look good too the way it already is. I'm very excited for ya'll.

Love it! I still love black doors and the white looks good. The orange would look pretty with some orange foilage on the front lawn later.
