January 11, 2010

Ok, So here goes my first post for 2010. I had actually started on a post, but never finished it and decided just to scratch that one and start over! I have had a pretty busy 2010 so far. Gregg turned 28 on January 1. I made cake balls for Gregg for his birthday. Those things are so time consuming and aggravating to make! Here is a pic of Gregg holding his Birthday Cake Ball! :)Also, on January 1, Miss Kaidi turned a month old! :) This was her pic taken for her "1 month old" shot! She smiled at me for the first time on New Years Eve. She is wearing NB clothes still. I am starting to put her in a few 0-3 month clothes. I tried to put a size 1 diaper on her and it swallowed her, so we are sticking to NB diapers for a little longer. She wakes up 2 times through the night and is a very pleasant baby. I am amazed at how good she is. She likes to drink around 4 ounces ever 3-4 hours. I call her "porky" because she likes to eat so much! Gregg said that she has grown into her cheeks! :) I would guess that she weighs around 8 lbs now. :)
Our house is coming along mighty fast! I am super nervous and excited at the same time. Here is the latest photo of the progress on our house. Isn't it amazing how fast it has changed?

Well, I am sorry this post is so short, it is late and I need to get to bed. Just wanted you guys to know that I am still here, just busy! 2010 had been going ok so far. It feels like the 2 1/2 years I had with B&K were much shorter than the 6 months they have been gone. It seems it has been forever since I saw them, held them, heard them. I miss them so much. Gregg and I face many challenges everyday with the grief we have over B&K. Some we have faced before, and some are new. We continue to pray for peace and some sense of understanding. Kaidi is such a blessing and she is so loved beyond what she will ever imagine. I tell her everyday how special she is. I know that in time we can talk about Brayden and Kenadi to her. I want her to know how special they were too! :)

I hope that everyone has a wonderful New Year full of many blessings and lots of joy and happiness! :)

I agree with you on the cake balls. I made a TON of them over the holiday's. They are too time consuming for my liking. Despite what everyone said online!

You continue to amaze me each time I read your blog. God bless you and your little bundle of joy. She is just precious.

It has been a while since I left a comment for you...a few months. I just wanted to tell you that I think of you daily. I only know a few people who have lost children in the same way I have and you are one of them. So, we have that tragic event in common...unfortunately.

On a better note though...your Kaidi is just precious. We, too, have a new baby girl who just turned two months old on Jan. 2nd.

Stop by my blog sometime and then email me if you ever get a chance...my address is on my sidebar.

By the way, congratulations on the new house too!

The house is so pretty, can't wait to see it done. Kaidi is so precious and I see B&K in her little face. I pray for you guys, and my heart aches for you. I have been there when my little Bethanie passed away, and I just hurt that another mother and father are having to go through this!! I pray that the Lord comforts you guys!!
