Shopping on a Rainy Day

This past week has been pretty good. We have had a little bit of company. Friday was real busy with company. It was non stop all day long it seemed. Saturday, Gregg, Kaidi and I went to Prattville to do some Christmas shopping. I didn't dream of it being that messy of a day. Luckily, I had put the insulated car seat cover over Kaidi's carseat. I took my camera with me, but really didn't have time to take any pictures. I hope to get a smaller camera soon that I can keep in my purse and easily take photos with. I have a big camera and it isn't the best thing when on the go to take pictures with. We had a real good day shopping Saturday, in spite of the ugly, cold weather. We went to Books a Million and Bass Pro Shop and of course had to eat at Olive Garden. It made me remember that Olive Garden was also the first rest. that B&K went to when they were 5 days old. This past week we have been to my doctor, took Kaidi to her doctor, drove down to the FL line and Gregg got some lottery tickets (no luck) and then Friday we went to Andalusia to visit my boss and let him see Kaidi. We have had an extra baby with us last week and I am keeping her again this week. Her name is Marsi. Her mommy works at Gregg's bank and had to start back to work last week so we offered to keep her until her babysitter is able to, which should be the week of Christmas. She is 7 weeks old. Here are a few pics from the past week.
This is the precious sight I see in the mornings when I wake up. She sleeps so peacefully!

This is Kaidi and Marsi asleep.

Kaidi was pulling the Tide through last Saturday! :)

I just loved this outfit that her Nana got her. The boots were precious!

I am hoping that I will be able to get on and post a little more now, I have settled in and have adjusted to having a newborn at home. It has seemed to help heal our hearts a little, but we do have a lot of trouble keeping our minds off of B&K. A day doesn't go by that we don't cry and miss them terribly. It feels as if they were never here or that it has been so long since we saw them. I hold Kaidi and I want to tell her all about them, but I just can't bear to talk about them yet. I hope that in the months to come I will be able to because I so much want her to know all about them. I see Brayden in Kaidi so much. Actually, I do see a good mixture of both Brayden and Kenadi. I am so thankful for that. That she looks like Kaidi! That she is not a spitting image of either Brayden or Kenadi. I hope that she develops a mixture of their personalities as well.

Here are a few pictures from the other night that we had made by a photographer:

Lastly, I hope each and every one of you have a Merry Christams! :)

You are an amazing young woman!
I am recovering from breast cancer and you have no idea what an inspiration you have been to me. I read your blog daily and to watch you continue to smile with all you've been through let's me know that all things are possible with faith. I will keep you in my prayers as well as my heart.
May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Meredith, she is spectacular. I'm so happy for you. I know the feeling of the mixture of sadness/joy. My son helped to heal my heart a bit after losing my daughter, but there was still daily crying, and I missed her so much. Someday you will be able to tell Kaidi all about her big brother and sister. Merry Christmas to you dear!

I'm rejoicing with you in the birth of your beautiful new little one. So thankful for you that you have a healthy little one to hold and snuggle during this very painful holiday season. I so completely understand the tears, the aching, the "why's." I miss my sweet Laynee so desperately that I wonder if I'm going to make it through this.
I know that you understand how important it is to cherish every moment with Kaidi, she is a precious gift, a beautiful reminder that God is good and does good, even if we don't always understand.
May God Comfort you
