October 26, 2009

It's been a few days since I last posted. I have been real busy getting my house all organized and ready for my shower that is Sunday. I am so excited about it. I don't know WHERE I am gonna put the things I get. I spent the weekend washing up some of Kaidi's things and hanging them up. I want to say thank you to Kristin in Alabaster! :) That was such a blessing when we got in that night. I cried after reading the packing slip. Gregg and I have been so blessed by our friends, our community and even by perfect strangers!
I am so excited about our house. Gregg is out there this morning with a guy who is doing a new perc test. Only thing we have left to do is get a temp. pole out there for electricity and we are ready to break ground! :) WOW! We hope to be in it by February! :) That is so soon.
I am also excited about Christmas in North Carolina! I think I am probably more excited about going to the Biltmore Estate! I have ALWAYS wanted to go and we are going to be 20 mins. from it so we are gonna go see the Candlelight Christmas' while we are there. I have been looking online at other attractions near by and "good eats" that we may also try! I am very much looking forward to this family trip.
Car Shopping has NOT been fun. A lot of that has to do with my very picky husband. :) Love him for it!  But I told him I wanted a new car for my birthday! (hehe) so he has until next Saturday to get something for me.  I guess that kinda puts the pressure on! :) I would just LOVE to take my new vehicle to Miyori's for dinner on my birthday! :)
Well, I have a few things to take care of today so I guess that is all for now! Have a Blessed Monday! :)

Hey Meredith!

I made a dress a few weeks ago and I would like to send it to you for Kaidi. Actually I posted about it here...
http://onecraftyhunter.blogspot.com/2009/10/beyond-average-garage-sale-finds.html

It's the blue and white dress.
Email me at stephanie(at)memphislightingsales(dot)com.
It's a 12 months size. Also, I'm working on a few more things that I will send your way. I'm practicing on my sewing and for some reason the dress I made I keep thinking of Kaidi so it's meant to be hers :)

I think about you guys alot and continue to lift my prayers for you all.

praying for you still!!

The Biltmore Estate was one of the places we went while on our honey moon almost 23 years ago, its incredible and wow I can't imagine the beauty at Christmas! Blessings as you prepare for the upcoming events that are ahead. Though so much sorrow is in both our pasts, He is so faithful to give us hope for the things that lie ahead, the things that he has while on this earth and the things that lie ahead for us in eternity!

You are very, very welcome. I saw your shower invitation and thought about coming to give you a big hug but thought you might think I was a little crazy so opted instead to send that. I am so looking forward to "meeting" your little one. And I think of your other 2 little ones often and say a prayer for you and their Daddy.

Love to you,
Kristin

I came across your blog from another blog I read and I wanted to let you know that I pray for your family daily. I also wanted to tell you that I was born, raised, and have lived all of my 28 years in Asheville, NC - if you have any questions about where to go, what to see, or where to eat, please feel free to drop me an email. If the gingerbread houses are still at The Grove Park Inn, you should definitely check those out! God Bless you and your family, and I hope to hear from you!

Meridith,
I have been reading your blog but have not posted before. I can't imagine your heartache and am praying for you.
I just read about your trip to NC and the candlelight tour of the Biltmore House . It was beautiful when I saw it a few years ago. I would like to also suggest that you check out The Grove Park Inn. It is located in Asheville also and is worth a visit. Their spa is a great experience and the HUGE fireplaces in the lobby are a wonderful place to sit in the rockers provided.
I hope this will be a good trip for you and will provide some relaxation and new memories.
